Grasses

Add movement, lightness and a natural texture to your landscapes with our ornamental grasses – modern, sustainable and low-maintenance.

Characteristics

Movement is one of the most difficult effects to introduce into a garden using only plant material. Ornamental grasses are particularly well suited to this role thanks to their fine leaves, light growth habits and inflorescences that respond very visibly to the wind.

Texture and movement in the landscape

When used in groups, they create changing surfaces that add depth and a natural feel to the design. Their appearance can vary considerably depending on the light, the wind and the season.

There are compact varieties suitable for foreground planting, as well as others capable of achieving a strong presence within a border or planting bed. This diversity makes it possible to work with different heights without losing a sense of lightness.

Colour, foliage and inflorescences

Their ornamental value does not depend solely on flowering. Green, bluish, copper or reddish foliage makes it possible to create combinations that retain their character even outside the period when the flower spikes appear.

The inflorescences add a different texture and can continue to provide decorative value after drying. In certain designs, we prefer to leave them in place for part of the winter before carrying out the appropriate pruning.

Combinations with other plants

One of their main advantages is how easily they can be integrated into very different landscaping styles. They can be combined with shrubs, aromatic plants, perennials, xerophytic species or flowering plants.

They work particularly well in repeated planting schemes and in masses of varying densities. With the right selection, they can be used in contemporary, Mediterranean, naturalistic or low-maintenance gardens.
