Brown stems with very abundant whitish hairs; they are partly creeping, which makes the clump spread outwards to form good ground cover. The leaves are leathery, rhomboidal, toothed in the upper half and with strongly marked veins on the underside. They also have some hairiness, though not as evident or abundant as on the stems; they are glossy green on the upper surface and paler and matt underneath.
